  • CounsellingOnline is a service where you can communicate with a professional counsellor about an alcohol or drug related concern, using text-interaction. This service is free for anyone seeking help with their own drug use or the drug use of a family member, relative or friend. CounsellingOnline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across Australia.
  • headspace is Australia’s national youth mental health foundation. headspace have services located across Australia available for 12–25 year olds who may be experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues, and can also provide links to local services. The website also has the latest information about these health issues.
  • Just ask us is a national website for university students who are seeking information or help in relation to a wide range of health issues, including alcohol, drugs, mental health and well-being. The website provides information on a variety of health topics and links to support services offered by university campus counselling services and key treatment and support services nationally.

YSASline 24-hour telephone service provides information, counselling and referral to Youth Substance Abuse Service and youth-specific alcohol and drug services throughout Victoria.

    The Helpline is a confidential information and support line for cannabis users and friends and family who are concerned about cannabis use by those close to them. We provide counselling, information and referrals that will assist you in your current situation. We will link you to the most appropriate support services and resources for your situation in your area. The Helpline is available from 2pm–11pm Sunday to Friday (including public holidays).

Cannabis education & treatment programs

  • Cautious With Cannabis is a 2 hour education program available for anyone who wishes to know more about cannabis and strategies which can help them reduce the harms, cut down or stop using. The program is free of charge at a number of locations throughout Victoria.
  • UnitingCare Moreland Hall is an alcohol and other drug treatment agency of the Uniting Church in Australia. UnitingCare Moreland Hall is a not-for-profit agency which has been operating for more than 35 years, providing a range of alcohol and other drug services to clients in the Northern region, plus education services.
