If i stopped using it again for a long period of time will everything go back to 100%?
Firstly I love the site. The one thing the government has failed to do is talk to teenagers in our language; this site does exactly that.
But honestly, about a year ago i had smoked it once a weekend for about 2 months then stopped completely. People worried about me so i proved it wasn't an addiction. Over the most recent past two months i have smoked it say twice a week. I've started 2 feel the no motivation, small attention span, all the odd feelings you have explained.
If i stopped using it again for a long period of time will everything go back to 100%, well except for the damage to my lungs, but metal health wise? One in every 12 months: exactly what kind of damage am i looking at? A detailed response would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much for the help!
Hi, glad you like the site—seems like you have been able to find lots of accurate information you can relate to about the effects of cannabis.
You have found in the past that you can give up cannabis easily and that's great, but experience tells us the longer and more often you use the harder it is to stop, so keeping your use to a minimum or stopping early is the best advice. While you haven't used very often, how much you used and how strong the cannabis was can have an effect as well.
I don't have a lot of information to go on but I am concerned that you have been having "odd feelings" so I think it is time to look at your cannabis use again as it is having some worrying negative effects. Most of the changes people notice when using start to reverse after a few weeks of stopping cannabis. However, if you still experience any of the "odd feelings" you mentioned 1–2 weeks after you've stopped then go to see your GP or visit a mental health service near you such as headspace and have a chat. It's important to look after your mental health.
