Is there a way i can smoke pot and not have the things happen to me?
When i smoke pot i freak out. I can hear things a lot louder, like when it's raining it sounds like a hammer is pounding in my ears. I feel like i have super hearing. I sit in the corner not thinking that people are going to hurt me but i think they can read my head and what i am thinking. Also i think "i think people think i am not a normal stoner and i am crazy", so i try no to act crazy, and make myself worse. I giggle and giggle and giggle even at things are not funny. It is like it is uncontrollable. I take used to take ice (inject) but not anymore.
I am normal when i am not stoned but these problems happen when i smoke pot. Is there a way i can smoke pot and make this not happen or should i not smoke pot? Please don't tell me not to smoke pot because it is the right thing to do. I just want to know, is there a way i can smoke pot and not have the things as above happen to me?
Hello, thanks for your question. It's great to hear you've conquered your ice habit.
It sounds like you are experiencing some changes in your mental health when you smoke cannabis but you feel stuck at the moment and unable to change your cannabis use. I think with some support you will be able to reduce your use—maybe trying some of the strategies that helped you kick the ice would be a good place to start.
The issue that concerns me is that the symptoms you are experiencing now when you use cannabis sound pretty frightening and they may start to occur when you are not using so it's a good time to talk to a professional. The symptoms you mentioned—the super hearing, and having your thoughts read and feeling "uncontrollable"—are associated with changes in mental health and need to be assessed by a professional.
At the moment, without a more thorough assessment, it's not possible to say if you can smoke pot and not experience these symptoms. The causes may not be related to the cannabis and so it's important to get them checked out. Take care.
