Reality

I'm 21 years old. I've used marijuana maybe 50 times in my life. Sometimes I get paranoid or anxious. Sometimes i feel, if only very slightly, as if Huxley's 'Doors of Perception' have been opened a little bit. In other words, i feel as if I'm seeing reality in a truer, more wonderful and beautiful way than i otherwise would.

For most people marijuana is a mostly positive experience. For most it is not addictive, has virtually zero adverse health affects when used in moderation, and doesn't lead to destructive behaviour. It's not for everyone though: if you don't like it, don't do it.

Some people develop an addiction and psychological problems to and from marijuana use. These problems originate in the particular user, not the drug itself. Some people are susceptible to addiction and psychological problems. People become addicted to many different things (food, drugs, TV, etc.), while the rest of us might try alcohol or drugs without facing any real problems whatsoever.

Anyway the point is: get your information from an objective source. Use your own common sense.

What constitutes moderation?
I agree completely with this. I smoke in moderation. More like twice, three times a year. It doesnt affect me like some, i dont feel this hidden addiction creeping up on me every time i have one.
I find it funny it funny that people reckon they open Huxley's 'Doors of Perception' and yet to the rest of the world they lose the glint and shine in their eyes. Maybe you find some sort of perception but I believe it always comes at the cost of perception in the real world.
Finally a more realistic and positive story on this website. I was starting to get suspicious this wasn't an objective source I could take seriously.
