Medical marijuana

I have smoked marijuana for nearly 4 years daily, and moderately. I work in an office now. I started when I was 18 and diagnosed with celiac disease. There was nothing else to take to stop the diarrhoea, vomiting and seizures. I tried it and it worked amazingly.

I smoke about 1-3 regular cone hits a night, and my job involves a lot of accounting, paperwork and management. I have never had a problem with cannabis and have probably smoked around 1 pound or more in my lifetime.

I have never hallucinated. I did have some depression when I was 14 due to a parental problem and living situation. That was all and was not related. Without 'pot' I can't work. I'm not talking about getting high before work... that's just insane. I usually have it at night, smoke out of a bong, don't have coughing problems or any lung problems. I've never touched other drugs, I don't even drink, and people know me as one of the most emotionally stable people, and one of the most intelligent for their age. For me it brings down my inflammation in my intestine and stops my anaemia which drains my energy. I can eat, sleep, and function properly.

My grandfather got cancer at 20, about the age I started getting worse and tried cannabis again for treatment, after having taken a break for a while. I've gotten fitter, healthier, been more productive at work, put on weight and beaten my anaemia. My doctors are confused. They want me to go to the TGA and seek criminal exemption but I can't as that only covers once you have contracted cancer. I've only had benign tumours cut out so far.

Sure I have had friends which have smoked heavily - 10-20 bong hits a day which is plain ridiculous and it has affected them - but as for the amount that I have, I have never had a problem, never hallucinated, never heard things, never had cannabis induced suicidal thoughts, and never had uncontrollable aggression.

I apologise for writing so much, but people just need to understand that there are people out there who genuinely need it for medicine.

i understand what you mean...of course weve all gone through the awkward druggie teen years, so when we think of smoking marijuana, most people think of the ridiculous amounts that we smoked when we were younger just looking to get fucked up, not just looking to get by. nice story.
Im glad you posted this. I am a active smoker myself, but i do not have the rights to purchase medical marijuana. I think something that i really get from your post is that, we are focusing so much on the problems with marijuana. what about those people who benefit from its effects? I dont hear about that very often.
